Below: Garden front of Cowbridge House in Hartham Lane. The property was sold in 1859 for the construction of the railway and most of the house demolished. The drawing rooom wing on the left has survived. It is now the Gospel Hall and an adjoining house.

The Gospel Hall was renamed Hartham Chapel and has now been renamed Hertford Town Church.
