Kerry

My testimony of my life. How I became a Christian.

My name is Kerry. I was adopted at the age of 8 months. My adopted parents were practising Christians and I was brought up in this faith, attending church most Sundays. I have always enjoyed my faith and going to church. When I was about 15-16 I had a dream that Jesus was calling me. I said I was sorry for unchristian things I may have done and if it is you Jesus calling me please lay your hand on my heart. I felt a sensation on my heart and when I awoke I felt like a new person and vowed to become a Christian and I thanked the Lord for this gift. At the age of 19 I moved to Hertfordshire to attend college where I met someone, a committed Christian, who introduced me to the church I now attend. He and the rest of the congregation made me very welcome and encouraged me to be baptised into the faith and become a full member of God's family. I was baptized on 9th July 2006 with my close family and members of the congregation watching.
Why was I baptized? I believe that when I was baptized I died to my old life and rose again to a new life with Jesus. Just as Jesus died and rose again to give us new life. It was a beautiful day. One I will remember all the days of my life.
I would like to thank everybody who has supported me so far in my journey with the Lord Jesus Christ. Big thanks to you all.
